Hands On Design- Does it Again!
I have really enjoyed so many of the designs by Hands On Design and Autumn Acres Farm is no exception. This cross stitch pattern is part of the Chalk on the Farm series with the original chalk artwork by Priscilla Blain. I stitched just one small part of the entire piece this year. I plan to stitch more parts next year to make a cute display of pillows for the fall season. Stitched on 14 count Aida with called for DMC colors listed in the pattern. This is a keeper!!
Autumn Stitching
I have now stitched the fourth pattern in the Lizzie Kate's Autumn Smalls #185. I did heavily modify it as I prefer Fall to Halloween. I used the called for DMC colors- except the blue pumpkin is #930 and 931. Stitched on 14 count Aida. A very quick project!

A Beautiful Piece
This pattern is from the Blackbird Designs book Ooh La La. The pattern entitled Last Rose of Summer. I changed the pattern a bit. I used all the DMC conversion colors. Stitched on coffee/ tea dyed Aida two threads used.
I really like this book of patterns and you may want to pick it up too.
Fall is in the Air
I consider the Autumn season to begin Sept 1st and Fall patterns are started. Lizzie Kate patterns are colorful and fun to stitch. This pattern is in the leaflet entitled Autumn Smalls # 185. I have stitched 3 out if the 4. I have yet to place the buttons for eyes on the owl. Otherwise it is a finish! It is stitched on 14 count Oatmeal Aida in the called for colors.
A Fun Fall Finish
This fun, fast cross-stitch pattern is by Lizzie Kate, entitled Spooky String. This piece stitched on coffee/tea dyed Aida 14 count stitched 2 over 2. The colors used were all DMC 834, 543, 3865, 414, 3853, 580, 921, 434, 310, 552 and 3848.

A Sweet Finish
What tastes best on a warm summer day? A cold slice of watermelon. This adorable cross-stitch pattern is by Little House Needleworks, entitled Fresh Watermelon. Stitched on 18 count ivory Aida one thread over one. I used all the called for colors of DMC. On this fabric I found the flowers did not have enough contrast to show up so I back stitched with #783.

My February started with two Lizzie Kate designs, both slightly modified. F 164 Love and Be Mine Valentine #577. I stitched them in the same colors as I knew I would display them together. All flosses are DMC 3052, 3803, Ecru, 604, and 3740. Two strands held together on coffee/ tea dyed Aida 16 count.
Valentine's Stitching
The next pattern is by Heart in Hand 2017 collector's heart. Flosses are all DMC 223, 610, 3721, 224 and a mystery green for the leaves. Fabric is coffee/ tea dyed 16 count.

Beautiful Cross-stitch Pattern
I Cross-stitched this pattern Jingle All the Way, by Brenda Gervais over the holidays. Another of my anticipated projects for the season. I used 16 count Mirage Aida fabric dyed by Picture This Plus.
Baby It's Cold Outside
This pattern is a super quick stitch. I have made a variety in this series Square Dance by Heart in Hand Needleart. I woul like to finish them all this year...we will see I do get distracted by other creative pursuits easily. I finished January using 16 count Aida cloth coffee/tea dyed. DMC flosses used include 340, Blanc, 900, 310, 932, 433 and 3052. Classic Coloworks floss Carrie Berry, Blacksmith Blue and Licorice Red. That red is stunning and I hope to use it on another pattern soon. I altered the pattern slightly as my French knots looked too big for the intended snowmen.
January 2020
It is winter here with cold snow and freezing fog. It makes the farm look so beautiful. I have been inside stitching a bit. I enjoyed this project from Brenda Gervais. The chart is Holly Happy Soul. Colors used Gentle Art Endive, Classic Coloworks Barn door, Cayenne, Eggshell and Muddy Puddle. DMC includes 834, 3341, 3826, 610, 611 and 310.
