A Sweet Finish
What tastes best on a warm summer day? A cold slice of watermelon. This adorable cross-stitch pattern is by Little House Needleworks, entitled Fresh Watermelon. Stitched on 18 count ivory Aida one thread over one. I used all the called for colors of DMC. On this fabric I found the flowers did not have enough contrast to show up so I back stitched with #783.

I did use Crescent Colours Bandana which worked wonderfully( I also really like Bing Cherry by Classic Colorworks. Stitched on Ivory Aida with two strands.

Another Quick Finish
For Stitchmania 2020 I am also working along in monthly series. Square Dance by Heart in Hand is another fun series to stitch. Stitched mainly on 16 count Aida coffee/ tea dyed fabric. I did stick with the called for colors (mostly). Classic Colorworks Muddy Puddle, Blacksmith Blue, Licorice Red( one of my all time favs) and The Gentle Art Soot.
If you are fairly new to cross-stitching this would be a fAbulous series to start with.
