Blackbird Designs Summer Come Again pattern is just what the warm weather called for. This quick stitching project makes my mouth water just thinking about the strawberries I have in the kitchen. This piece stitched on 16 count coffee/tea dyed Aida with two strands over one. I changed the. Basket a bit but kept the remaining pattern fairly true to designed. I used all DMC flosses 347, 3828, 934, 815, 610, 167, 169, 3011, and 712.

Keep on Keepin' on
Another quick cross-stitch pattern is one in a series of Heart in Hand, part of the square dance series. I completed the August piece. I stitched on 16 count coffee/tea dyed Aida, 2 threads over one. I picked colors from my stash and went to stitching. I am stitching them in order and eventually I will start September. Flosses include weeks Dyeworks Schneckley and Pecan, DMC 310, Blanc, 3031, 975, 3821, 728 and 976.
A Little Blackbird Designs
Yes, I did it again I changed the pattern a wee bit. I decided to make it smaller and not include the border. It should finish about a 5' x 5" frame this way. I plan to display it in my wall in the living room. I used two threads on 16 count coffee/ tea dyed Aida in primarily the DMC flosses 931, 935, 3021, 739, 831, 937, 642, 932, 3790, 930, 3348 and 647. I really like that the ladies of Blackbird Designs do list the DMC flosses not just fancy flosses.
Summer Stitching
This adorable pattern by Stitching with the Housewives stitched up quickly. We grow tomatoes in the garden each year and I thought this piece would work well in a summer display. I used chalkboard black 14 count Aida, 310, Blanc, DMC 347, 322, 3346, 907 and Classic Colorworks Queen Bee. I did vary from the pattern just slightly as I am known to do. I just love it!
