End of the Summer Finishes

I am a list maker and goal writer.  I made a list of goals for August and these two cross-stitch projects made the list.  Both patterns are from Stitching with the Housewives.  Both stitched in DMC( the ones listed in the patterns).  stitched with two threads in 14 count Chalkboard black Aida.
The first one is Yard Sauce.  The second is Hello Summer.  These will be a great to display as small pillows next year.

These patterns are great for beginners and fast to complete.

Summer Stitching in Iowa

This quick stitched piece is another from Stitching with the Housewives.  The pattern is entitled Sweet Cirn Seeds.  I used 14 count chalkboard black Aida cloth stitching two threads over one.  I used primarily the DMC equivalents listed in the pattern
The only thing I need to do is finish the sewing at the bottom of the pillow.

A Fun Bee Themed Project

Stitching with the Housewives has an adorable pattern Honey Bee part of their What's in my cup Series.  I stitched two threads over one on 14 count chalkboard black Aida using the DMC floss conversion provided in the pattern.  My backstitching could use some work but overall I think it came out nice.  I started at the bottom left corner (generally not where I usually do).  That had me a little close on one side so I shifted the cup a bit.  I think it will work up into a nice display piece with my sunflower decorations.

A little Summer

I bought this cute design more than a year ago.  It spoke to me as I think these flowers look like zinnias and I have been planting those in the garden for the past few years.  The blooms are cherry and last awhile cut in a vase.   This cross stitch design is from Stitching with the Housewives, entitled Bloom.  I used DMC floss as referenced in the chart in all but one color- I swapped out 317 for 932.  14 count Aida cloth in chalkboard black used.  I am looking forward to finishing it into a decorative display piece for me tiered tray.

Easter Stitching

Lizzie Kate has had such adorable patterns and thus one is no exception.  Lizzie Kate Easter Parade #192.  I stitched Hip Hop minus the letters.  This will be the start of a cute decor piece in the future.  I can see the trio of patterns stiched into pillows for the Spring.  Ivory 16 count Aida cloth used, two threads over one.  DMC colors are 310, 720, 3853, 604, 744, 731, 30, 807, and a pretty aqua #598.

Happy St Patrick's Day

These two cute patterns are by Stitching with the Housewives.  Leprechaun Lane and Shamrock Farm.  I used chalkboard black 14 count Aida two threads over one.  The colors are all DMC 729, 905, 988, 645, 3733, 310, and 3865.   These will look so adorable as pillows.

Valentine's cross-stitching is one of my favorite subjects.  This February I have stitched several cute designs from Stitching Housewives.  They are all stitched on14 count chalkboard black Aida, 2 threads o we one in DMC that is an option in the pattern.  They finish about 3 inches by 4 inches.  I altered Valentine Lane from the original pattern.  Here are the pictures:

Blackbird Designs

When I purchased the Blackbird Designs book Souvenirs of Summer I knew what I wanted to stitch first the pattern Summer Song.  I did use the listed DMC conversion in the book.  I donthink that colors may have changed a bit but it still will make a lovely piece to display.  Stitched on coffee/ tea dyed Aida 16 count 2 threads over one.

A Summer Project

The Stitching Housewives have a cute, very quick cross-stitch project that can be found in Priscilla's blog as a free pattern.  It is. Celebration of summer that when fully finished will look as adorable!  I just love sunflowers.
I used Classic Colorworks Black Coffee and Queen Bee, DMC 3371, 3341, and 712.  stitched on 14 count chalkboard back Aida fabric 2 strands over one.

Fall Update
